From Dec 11, 2007 to present (well…as of a couple days ago). You can see when we had a couple weeks of steady rain.

In 10 minute increments. Looks like we had a partly cloudy morning with clearing in the afternoon up in Manoa.

We’ve had a couple nice days, each with just under 15 KWH production. In total, we’ve generated just under 209 KWH and have a CO2 offset of 355 pounds.
Cumulatively for our system we’ve generated 407 KWH and offset 701 lbs of CO2.

French Chardonnay from the Burgundy area. From Google Maps it looks like it is a bit north of Maconnais. Racy at first impression, meaning good acid. My first thought was “grapefruit” or “citrus”. That may have been because it was a bit on the cold side when I opened the bottle. Really soft - not [...]

Medium tannins, but fine grained. I find that sometimes Napa Cabs can have tannins that are more “chunky” or pronounced. This is NOT that way. The tannins here are fine grained or soft.
Deep purple in color. Ripe cherry, lush, and long finish. Well-balanced and rich. Powerful and complex, but not overpowering as some Napa [...]

A decent everyday pinot noir. Medium tannins. Cherries. A nice translucent ruby red. Not the silky smooth texture that I would expect from an expensive pinot and perhaps a bit generic in flavor profile. Not a long finish. But heck, since it is in the $10 price range, what do you expect? If I were [...]

This is the mass-market Chianti bottling from Costello Di Gabbiano. Medium tannins, deep purple in color - typical of Chianti, and red/brown fruits. Good price point (around $10).
Sangiovese with small amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino, so I can add Canaiolo to my list of varietals. Only 65 to go…

Sounds interesting.
The project, which would span six islands, could generate as much as 34 megawatts of electrical power and would likely be among the largest state-backed photovoltaic projects in the country.
Makes our puny 3 KW system feel really small.
Oh, and the guys who installed our system, Hoku, are doing a 167 KW system for…Hawaiian [...]

12.24 kwh generated today. What is really neat is that you can see when the sun comes over the valley wall at just after 0920 and how the sunset tapers off very smoothly at around 1600.
