Le Pinot Noir Chanfleure de Louis Latour 2005

Burgundy from Cote d’Or.  Floral with good perfume.  Deep red, slightly dark.  Elegant, round, finely textured tannins,  Plummy, bright red fruit.  Not as concentrated as some of the over the top Pinots from California, so we’re back to the old-world/new-world dichotomy.  So this is a bit cooler, more restrained.  Good price point, in the $20 [...]
