Leitz Drachenstein 2005

This riesling is bright and clear.  Good citrus fruit with lots of stone and slate on the nose.   Clean on the palate, tropical fruit fruit character with dried apricot.  Round and juicy.  In comparison to other rieslings, a mid-level of acidity.  Medium finish.  Perfect with pad thai or other asian dishes.  At the sub-$20 price point, this is a great deal.

Oh, and a great interview with the winemaker is at Grape Radio: http://www.graperadio.com/archives/2006/03/20/a-tour-of-germany-part-2/
